Recently, I bought a smart lock, hoping it would bring me convenience and security. However, when I carefully read the instructions, I was shocked-this smart lock requires 8 batteries!
8 batteries? That's an astronomical number! I wondered if I was seeing things; how could a regular door lock need so many batteries? Is it trying to open a portal to the universe, or does it just need that much power to keep running?
For this smart lock, I had to go to the store to buy 8 batteries. And these batteries need to be replaced regularly. If I forget to replace them on time, the lock will stop working, and I'll have to call a professional to open the door-it's both troublesome and expensive.
Before, a simple key could solve all problems. Although it seemed cumbersome, it was actually the simplest and most practical solution. No need to worry about it breaking down, running out of power, or other problems.
Now, I'm starting to doubt the practicality and reliability of smart locks. In our pursuit of technological advancement, we sometimes get caught up in unnecessary trouble. Perhaps it's time to return to a simple, practical lifestyle.
